Holy Uncharted Territory, Batman!

First of all, I'd like to make a disclaimer. I'm writing this blog, drinking wine,  while watching the season finale of what is ashamedly one of my  new favorite shows, "Moonshiners." Yep. Any show with character names like 'Popcorn' and 'Tickle' is a show for me.

Moving on...thanks so much for all the supportive comments on my random post below. You all gave me a much needed boost and reminded me to keep the focus and not lose the fun. So tonight, though it's already 11:07, I knew there wasn't a snowball's chance in you-know-where that I could forgo posting these photos.

The kids are almost 3. For real. It's like 78 days or something. And though I don't really NEED them to be, I really kinda want them to be.

Potty-Trained, that is.

I've never been 'a reader.'
I didn't read about all the things that could go wrong in a triplet pregnancy.
I didn't read about cranial helmets.
I didn't read about cleft lips and palates.
I didn't read about how to sleep train babies or what it means when ______. (fill in the blank)
I just....go with the flow. We figure things out as they happen.
But holy uncharted territory, Batman!

The thought of potty training 3 toddlers at once? Uh, "Clueless, party of one please?"
Perhaps we'll HAVE to read about this one.

Tonight, just to entice them, I busted out the kiddie 'roos and was instantly transported to their high school graduation.{Sniff Sniff, Tear} OH MY GOODNESS. Their little buns in these little 'roos...So cute.

Ethan isn't sure he loves these...Colton thinks he looks badass and Hunter is thinking, "Now I look just like my mommy."
 Poor Ethan

 Stick 'em up.
Baa ha ha!! So cute!!

 Get your groove on!
Oh, sorry. Get YOUR groove on!
Again, this is not the face of happiness.

They grew on him though. (Oh my goodness, could that mirror BE any filthier?)

 My little boys...
On the table, watching Buzz and Woody in the playroom.

Little Miss gets the award for the first one to pee in her new underwear!  lol...
Stay tuned, my friends. This is gonna get good.

They all look so big in their underoos! I know we all say it, but I can't believe how quickly 2 1/2 years has passed. I put some on Andy a few months ago and he could have cared less that it wasn't a diaper...just kept peeing through them. I'm thinking spring break sounds like a good time to work on him! :) If you come across any fantastic tips that motivate, please share!!! Can't wait to read your next adventure!

So glad to hear I'm not the only one that didn't "research" everything!!! I'm with you, we learn as we go & I follow my boys cues, not some book or method written by someone that has no idea what it's like to have 3 babies at once. My sister & some friends are always telling me what some book says, I just smile say thanks & continue on with what works best for us :)
As far as potty training (I have no experience) but my aunt said for my cousin (a boy) she put things in the toilet for his to aim at and sink. He thought it was the best game ever & always wanted to go in the "potty." I got nothin' for girls :(

Ugh, good luck. That was definitely the one area where I felt even after reading we still couldn't figure it out. We chose M&M's as a reward but honestly we've used EVERY trick in the book. I also had to change my own definition of potty trained....apparently I was too optimistic. :) Hope it goes well for you.

May the force be with you!! You gotta just roll with it, otherwise you will go CRAZY!!! I have heard from a couple of friends that have twins, they did one kid at a time. Don't know if that would work with you but they said it was way easier. Good luck!! If you find any miricle tips, PLEASE SHARE!!!

There is nothing cuter than kids in tightie whities!

I let Jax be naked while at home & asked him every 30 min if he had to go. I got a lot of "My penis is messy!" and "Mom I peed over there." After months of this I gave up he one day he literally woke up & decided he didn't want to wear diapers anymore.

When I was stressed about potty training Katie one of my mommy friends asked me a great question. Have you ever seen a kid going off to college in diapers? Nope. So don't stress. If you provide a little encouragement and guidance it will happen. Before you know it the trio will be potty pros!

I have been reading for awhile but I don't comment all that often. I just wanted to give you some encouragement. I have a home daycare and this past fall, I potty trained 4 kids during October and November. The first week I only worked with the one I thought would catch on first, then each week I added another kid. This way, I got to know the patterns of each child. By the time the last child was added to the mix, the first was pretty much trained. It was challenging but definitely do-able. And now, I only have 1 in diapers (he's only 18 months old)!
I would be happy to give you more tips. Just email me at ourlifejourney (at) hotmail (dot) com.
Good luck!

Ok, so I don't know s*** about potty training but.......I only had one thought. I'm pretty sure Hunter was not thinking she looked like Mommy. I have NEVER seen you with a pair of "granny panties" in the 16 years I've known you. You really made me laugh with that one. I'm not one for reading books either but I am actually currently reading a Potty Training for Girls book.....quite interesting but nothing super profound. You're wing it strategy will probably work just as well....it always does :)
