The REAL Big Bad Wolf comes to Halloween

"Little Pig, Little Pig, let me in."

Well known words. Words of the wolf. The big, bad wolf.

(And he was! Quite the attraction in fact, at this year's Halloween Festivities, and frankly, almost as big an attraction as "Triplet Pigs" in a wagon.

We did the Howl'O Ween at Reid Park Zoo on a total whim last week, so for Halloween night, we needed to get creative. Luckily, Christ Community Church, which is not actually my church, but it's close to my house and its one of very few places actually hosting something on the real Halloween, was having a HUGE Fall Harvest event! It turned out to be the perfect outing for the three little piggies and this time, the REAL big, bad wolf (a.k.a. Grampa Sam). My white T-shirt with the words, 'Big Bad Wolf' sprawled across the front paled in comparison to this scary rubber wolf mask.

Careful to introduce the Bunchkins to the mask first, then to Grampa wearing the mask, so they would not be screaming in fear the entire night. And they did great! No one was scared! It was perfect!

This is the piggies' first time seeing Grampa in the mask.
"So, uh, did anyone see that big wolfy like dude? So, should we be scared or what?"
Careful not to get too close little Piggies! Big Bad Wolf looks hungry!

Colton, up close and personal

Hunter getting a close look too
Here we are! At the festival!

Which way should we go?
Hey Dad!
1 outa 3 isn't too bad, right? We couldn't possibly have expected THREE heads to stay on all night could we??
Into the gym we go for our Hot Dog Dinner!
Like feeding the birds...

Aunt Mary came to see us!
Be free little piggies! Be free! Run!
Open gyms = great play areas.
Too cute for words....
Hi Ethan!

Hmmm...there's that wolf again. Let me feel your teeth, Mr. Wolf.
Let me smack your nose, Mr. Wolf!

What one piggy does, the other 2 have to also...

Still impossible to get 3 babies to pose.

I think Ethan is saying, "Big Wolf, Big Wolf, let me in..."

Another attempt at a group photo.

Sad that the night is over.
Good night Halloween.
See you next year!
3 down 27 to go!

Those three little piggies of yours were so adorable that night. I'm glad I was able to stop by and see them along with "The Big Bad Wolf"!! And of course always nice to see you, Brian and Mary. They were so cute with Grampa and his mask and I could tell he was loving every moment of the fun! Great photos Ami! You have such well behaved little piglets! Fun! Fun! Fun!
