To all the Dads...

Happy Father's Day!

To my own dad and my kids' Ponka...thank you for teaching me, guiding me, having patience with me, supporting me (and my many ridiculous ventures) and loving me through it all. Thank you for loving my 'babies' and for giving me a glimpse into my own childhood through them. You are as great a grampa (er..Ponka) as you are a dad. I love you very much!

To Brian, the daddy of MY kids....thank you for sticking with me years ago and saying 'I do' and for sticking me years ago (with a million shots as we tried our hardest to become parents). Raising triplets is not easy and even though you've managed to indirectly teach our children some pretty choice words, you've also taught them so many more important lessons. You do what most men would run from and I'm so proud of you.

To Brian's dad...Papa...thank you for raising Brian the way you did. You began a cycle I see him continuing with our own kids. I am so lucky that you are my Father-in-law. I appreciate our similar tastes in food and your sense of humor to boot. The way the kids light up when they hear the name 'Papa' is pretty stinkin' heartwarming. Thank you for loving Brian and me and our kids.

To all the other dads out there, kudos to you for what you do. Dads are pretty cool...

(And now I feel like I should go back in time a month and write notes to myself, my mom and my mother-in-law for mother's day!) lol...we'll get to that.

Ami - Thank you for those beautiful sentiments. And thank you for "the Bunchkins"! BTW, didn't Brian's dad get the "bald is beautiful" memo? :-)
